Close to my heart are the efforts to prevent human trafficking, prostitution and pornography. I believe all life has worth. Men and women are created in Gods image, and are to be respected and valued.

During part of my life I, too, lost focus of where my identity laid. Thinking it was found in myself, or sexuality, or in people left me feeling empty and unfilled. But, through the redemption I was able to receive freedom, which is for all of us. It was purchased through a ransom paid by a Redeemer on behalf of the enslaved and it was rooted in Christ Jesus.

This truth stirs an abundant amount of love and desire to want to help those who have been victimized. We must help those who are victims of gender inequality and discrimination. Discriminatory laws can trap people in poverty that fail to protect them from violence, rending them vulnerable to prostitution and trafficking. Also by making efforts we can eliminate and curb the demand for commercial sex. Where there is no demand, there is no longer a need. This results in freedom and equality.

Remember that circumstances can lead to paths of destruction but, there is always hope. My hope is that I can be a part of the solution that says "Yes" to life and freedom.
