Costume design and Styling
Hi I am Malvine, and when I don't design clothing and accessories for my brand Malvine.lv, and don't train for my next marathon, you might find me in fittings, on movie set or shooting an add.
I was introduced to a world of movie and add shooting on 2019, when I met a wonderful costume designer Liene Dobrāja. After that everything clicked. Its hard for me to imagine a more natural way of joining such a specific industry as it happened to me. I just felt at home - both during the prep and on set. On my second day of movie shooting as a assistant costume designer I was left in charge of the department and everything went great.
I continued working as a assistant costume designer for few years and as the career advanced I became a mom, so I put aside being an active part of Costume Department to spend time with my son. Then slowly found my way back.
As the match at the beginning seemed almost unbelievably natural the work in the industry continues to fill me with joy.
